Fifth Transatlantic IP Summer Academy, Montreal 13th - 17th June 2011

Un año más Aurelius tendrá la oportunidad de participar en la Transatlantic IP Summer Academy (TIPSA), que este año tendrá lugar en Montreal (Canadá) del 13 al 17 de Junio 2011. Una gran oportunidad para actualizar conocimientos en materia de propiedad intelectual en vista del elenco de profesores que van a participar (exceptuandome a mi, por supuesto). La organización corre a cargo de McGuill University and University of Western Ontario.

Considering the growing role and importance of Intellectual Property in European and North-American knowledge-based economies, this one-week intensive course will focus on two IP subjects: IP Rights and Scientific Research and IP in the Digital Environment, with an inter-disciplinary approach, including IP law, IP economics, IP business and IP operational practicalities at an international level.

Thanks to lectures held by leading IP scholars and researchers from 10 countries in Europe and North America, participants will have a broad perspective on both, IP Rights and Scientific Research and IP in the Digital Environment, especially at an international and comparative level.

The horizontal and dynamic teaching system will give participants the opportunity to embrace all aspects of IP Rights management in real life by involving case and example studies, practical exercises as well as direct contact with IP operators.

Trosow (The University of Western Ontario - Canada), Aurelio Lopez (Magister Lucentinus & Alicante University – Spain), Francesca Toso (WIPO), Lucie Guibault (Institut voor Informatieren Recht – University of Amsterdam – Netherlands).
